I find it wild that even AFTER THE FACT a disaster has taken place, there are still hundreds of Indians hanging around loitering on, in and beside the wrecked train cars. Most are clearly not employed by the railroad, first responders or any sort of disaster management because they lack the hi-vis vests and all have flip flops on. But for some reason they just get to sit on top of the wrecked train and watch. It's so fucking weird.

It's LITERALLY soulless. Have you ever seen the highspeed rail stations in China? There's barely any people there especially the ones outside Beijing. Nobody can afford to ride there, and the CCP only now realizes what a fucking white elephant their HSR is. Chinese HSR is losing millions in profit, all because of their arrogance and shortsightedness not realizing their country is still by and large too poor to keep an HSR afloat.

no, it was a failure of the signalling system that led to the passenger train being given clear signals for the main line while the track was still switched to the occupied loop line
by the time the driver of the passenger train realised they were on a collision course, it would have been too late no matter what they did
