I bought some SKS Commuter II fenders for my ebike. However these fenders have a V stay (marked in red) that gets in the way of the brakes. The manufacturer specific fenders use a U stay (pic releated). Any ideas on how to mount these?

If you're wondering why I didn't buy the manufacturer specific ones it is because I didn't want to wait for shipping and I thought they were over priced. I also wanted to support my local bike shop.
