Another 650 die from falling out of bed or a chair, 1300 die in falls related to stairs or steps, and about 7300 die from "other falls" not including ladders or structures where you would be falling from a height, but possibly including falling off a cliff, mountainside, escarpment, and so on, of natural origin.
I should add that per year another roughly 750 die on bicycles, of which 92% were caused by being struck by or run over by a motor vehicle, so I would say your concerns are misplaced to say the least.
My point is that you should strongly consider a stairs helmet and a bed helmet, among other things.
