Loading up front slows handling at turn in but has a more manageable and predictable line, especially at exit. Loading at the rear keeps turn handling but gets sloppy on exit. I've eaten shit several times from overloading the rear and having the bike low side slide under me during corner exit.
Trailer I'm not a huge fan of. Yeah it's great it can handle like 200lbs but there's just so much shit that can go wrong on a trailer. The trailer could jackknife, the hitch can break, trailer could catch a curb and fuck the mount/hitch, it needs a lot of space to store, is only used once like every few months, etc. Just not worth it unless you really need it.
