I've seen a few alloy frame bikes retired by dents to the downtube
and somewhat less often by welds cracking, .eg at either end of the drive side chain stay, or by the steering tube
surprisingly rare are broken seat posts and handlebar stems, alloy cranks do sometimes snap off near the pedal
lightweight alloy handle bars do get wrecked, clamp on parts with sharp edges can mar the surface and cause cracks to propagate
