I work for the second largest public transport company in Sweden, my current job outage information for bus and light rail.

This summer mostly construction, we have 3 big projects going on at the same time and not enough drivers to man the replacement buses. Not to mention that one of the routes for the replacement buses is poorly planned, with no place for the drivers to regulate the time table.

We also had a 3 day outage due to copper theft from the power lines, a security company was contracted to watch the spot the theft happened but was dismissed after one day. The next night the thieves were back.

Is your local government by chance retarded and thinks that penny pinching public transport is going to save them money? Because making it so bad that people would rather drive is definitely going to cost more in the long run.

Retarded yes but driving inside the city is awful. They are spending billions on a new rail tunnel under the city, I don't mind the tunnel but most people hate it. It was supposed to be done by 2026 but has been delayed to 2034.

Pic related is the central station of the 5th largest urban area in the United States. A city that hosts the equivalent to more than half of Sweden's population. You shouldn't say "others don't know how bad they have it", instead you should be grateful of how good you have it.
