>>1932089>I'm not after an amazing bike, I just want easy transport that won't leave me sweaty at work, and will let me leisurely pedal to meet my friends, 40km round trip. It will replace the use of a motorbike.>I will continue to ride an actual bicycle for fun and fitness, this will not be replacing that.Fair enough.
I'd want to find out how heavy that bike is.
Front suspension usually adds 1-2kg to the weight of a bike.
Cheap folding bikes are also usually quite heavy.
As are bikes with fat tires.
I don't think the small wheel fat tire combo really makes sense except as a cute novelty or for very small people.
The utility of that bike as a folder is really marginal considering its e-bike heft. Cars with towbars and bike racks make more sense.
Pic rel for example is less than 20 kg and I think would be far more comfortable for distance and for carrying stuff. Even if this kind of 'good' e-bike is out of your price range I would still look for something with full size 700c wheels, a rigid fork, and medium width tires.
Also the drivetrain on that folder is garbage. Threaded freewheel and 7spd. Look for 8 or 9 speed. Pay more for it. It's just a basic quality of parts. Likewise for those brakes although those are easier to upgrade. This is not coming from the:
>2. Spend at least $3000 on an ebike!!!!camp, but more just applying the same basic quality filter i would to regular bike purchases. There's a level of bike parts below which shit just does not function very well and brakes easily. If you can't pass over that tourney chinkshit single piston promax archaic freewheel 7spd hump then atleast accept your purchase is of a false economy toy rather than a quality vehicle and i hope you like tinkering it.
