What do you mean, you're in control of your body and decide what the power output is at all times. Up hill or on the straights I keep the same output, with the same pulse and same effort at all times.
For long distances this is surely the most efficient way to move.
I don't get faced by hills and start foaming at the mouths trying to break an imaginary hill climbing record, while fiddling with gears to get "maximum efficiency".
Maybe it's about having powerful legs or chicken legs likes most bikers do and I pity those who do and needs to fiddle with gears all the time, but this thread is about real bikes, not fag bikes.
