I hate steam locomotives.

Yeah I hate them. Diesel locomotives at least all kind of have their own unique aesthetic due to being designed in the modernist industrial period and the capitalist period. Every company and industrial designer wanted to make a nice locomotive and then paint some nice livery on it to make it stand out, even if they were mass produced.

Steam locomotives on the other hand? Yeah, just a bunch of hard black rods laying in a horizontal position. No amount of little flair by painting a the emblem, the stack or some lines down it make any steam locomotive look unique.

Well I guess there are a very SMALL number of interesting looking steam locomotives like the LNER Class A4 4468 Mallard and other beautiful pieces of engineering and design from Doncaster Works but 99.9% of steam locomotives looked like ass and you cannot prove me wrong.

Behold, steam fans, it's the Illinois Central Green Diamond - a diesel streamliner from 1936. While retards like Mussolini, Hirohito and Hitler were seeking to retvrn to tradition with gay blood and soil and tradition rhetoric and a bunch of astrology for dudes aka nonsensical bastardizations of mythology reinterpreted by brain rotted retards like Julius Evola, the real superior civilization - the democratic western capitalist world - was already embracing the future.
