Is there any way to get this to work? It clears the frame part but the top of the brakes just drops a bit lower.

ok brakes are good now that I took out some screw that was compressing them. now my rear wheel just scrapes a bit against the frame. Any solution to this? bros please

Put something in between the wheel axle and frame to space your wheel away from the seat stay.

Do not do this if you are scared or unsure, it is an option.
Other option is to get smaller tires

Save that tire for the front when it gets worn down, then buy a size smaller for the rear. I used to run 32 front, 28 rear and it was comfy.

There's no solution for the rear besides converting the bike to 650b for $600+

A poorly seated wheel is a nasty experience once it inevitably drops out- you don’t even have to be pushing big watts or hit much of a road defect. I know it sucks to have a new high quality tire and not have it fit properly but it’s worth doing right.

Use a die grinder/file to remove material from the brake caliper
I've shaved a couple mm off before to get them to work...risk is involved though...do at your own risk
