I tried one of those LARP bags and hated them. I don't know if I'm just dumb or what, but once they're full they rock a lot, at that point it totally negates the benefit of having a special backpack.
That being said, any backpack is better than any framebag. They don't carry a lot of stuff, aren't really practical and prevent you from leaving your bike unattended for any period of time. At that point I might as well just use my good old string backpack and call it a day.
