I rode the Brightline from Orlando to WPB this past weekend. Pic rel is the station in Orlando.
My observations are that it is easier the best train service I’ve been on, but I’ve only ever been on Amtrak, so that says a whole lot. In any case, it is clean, fast, and one hardly feels any vibrations. I wish it had a dining car/lounge to get a break from my seat but the phone call vestibule area serves that purpose to an extent. The seats recline in a manner that doesn’t take up any more space of the person behind, which is nice, but they don’t recline quite enough that I could comfortably sleep in them. Otherwise, the seats were of a high quality.
I suspect that prices fro the premium service will drop in the future because it was a ghost town in that car. Premium has some nice amenities but it’s not worth it for me and most travelers to double the fare.
The greatest shortfall of the new Orlando service is the lack of stops on the way. I live maybe a mile from the tracks but had to drive about an hour to Orlando to get on the train. I figure that will be better with time, though.
