>>1949780>Can you explain the autism about beamformed lights?Picrel. I cut fresnel lenses to divert light from going upward, modified a powerbank to have direct access to the cell past the protection circuit and switched up some resistors to reduce brightness.
I care about seeing the road without a third of the beam going upwards where it is useless or dazzling people. This didn't work out too well because the beam was very focused, the bright spot made me blind to everything around it.
The enfitnix has a very uniform beam, with a sharp cutoff and a gradual reduction in brightness as you go down from it, making everything evenly lit. The towild has a much softer cutoff and doesn't gradually get dimmer going down, so I figured it would be better for trails, higher up on my helmet.
>What are you talking about with proprietary 18650?Google "enfitnix battery", it's just an 18650 with a pcb that brings both poles to one side. It's difficult to recreate safely. The towild br800 doesn't do this, it has a lead to the negative pole in the battery housing. Pretty retarded i m o.
