There used to be an incredibly hot fixie chick on a fixie that I'd see around midtown manhattan 2005-2010. Better than any hollywood casting director could come up with, just the bikebrained male fantasy of a hot street smart tomboy with legs and ass and perky but not too ridiculous tits. And you could tell she was a real messenger and not just one of the fixie poseurs that were everywhere back then. Definitely the exception that proved the rule because that is the only female bike professional I have seen in my life.

I knew a girl who ran deliveries on a moped.
But yeah, there's a definite preference for automobiles among female delivery workers.
With e-bikes in the mix these days, I'd venture it's no so much a "strength/speed" thing, but either a safety thing or a temperature thing. Women have more trouble regulating body temperature, particularly in hands/feet, because of uneven distribution of subcutaneous fat.

I don't doubt it, I've ridden with the small handful of them for the past 15 years, so like I said the chain is just an old school thing we laugh at now. They're heavy and unneeded especially with the introduction over better mechanisms in U-Locks. Props to anyone who wants to lug the weight around and gets the parcel in on time

Depends on what city you're living in and how willing you are to do shit work.
The best move I can suggest to any new couriers or old dogs getting into the food delivery is be polite. Be polite to the overworked kitchen staffs, be polite to the customers. You will see these people again and if you want to be the messenger who gets prioritized thats the best thing I can recommend no matter what service you're using

They will "forget" to check the kitchen, they'll purposefully ignore you, they'll neglect checking the order on shelf is it's yours, they do it because they know delivery is earn by delivery. If you happen to lose your shit and go off on them, they'll weaponize that against you and report you to the platform and now you're without work. Wageslaves are some of the most spiteful people who will throw literally everything away, just to feel right even if they're wrong. Stay under the radar and move the shit, that's all there is to it. It's comfy and the pay is mediocre but it's easily the most meditative job if you do it right
