People live in staten island? It's literally irrelevant and not even staten islanders want this because they'd hate the influx of city visitors this would encourage. Truly a stupid idea makes more sense to float across the river on an old tire than build this tunnel.

the rail option would provide a direct link between Manhattan and St. George. The question is why you are proposing this trash over 1) the PANYNJ proposal or 2) the subway line that's ending just half a mile from the shore on the other side of the Narrows. Nobody's gonna fund a 6 mile underwater tunnel for fucking Staten Island
