Most of Amtrak's long distance routes are over 24 hours. The one I take to see my parents is scheduled for 35 hours but usually takes about 40. You can, easily, get on an Amtrak train at midnight in a place like Elko, Winnemucca, Grants Pass or Iowa.

Jammed full of overweight undocumented immigrants with screaming kids.

But thankfully not for much longer. NYC threatens to sue any bus companies dropping undocumented passengers off. You'll need to show passport/ID before boarding.

Everything good is replayed to death eventually, especially since no one makes any music that timeless anymore, just garbage that's either completely forgettable or that you desperately want to forget.
