It's funny you started this thread today, as I have been working with a refugee outreach group just this week, and we fitted 22 bikes with Bluetooth speakers and gave them to a local hotel chain that houses new arrivals into the city.
It's been really heartwarming to go out on a couple of rides around local beauty spots with these young men, and their choices of music are as interesting as their personal stories. A lot of American rap as you might expect from young Africans, but also some interesting Arabic music. It has been a little disappointing to see the sometimes hostile reactin from some of the - shall we call them less enlightened locals, who seem to resent the sound of music while out on their walks, but on the whole most people don't seem to mind.
Here's a song that they especially seem to like playing, at one point they all had this blasting out at the same time, all 22 of them, and it is very catchy. We believe it's important to reduce the fear that minorities in general seem to have of the countryside, and to slowly introduce these wonderful cultures into what has become a cery stale and sometimes racists domain.
