>>1982231This looks ally. It's not going to be worth it. Long story short: It's very likely the ubiquitous 6061 alloy. In which case you'll loose maybe two thirds of strength in the heat affected area after welding. 6061 wont age naturally at room temperature like some other aluminium alloys. As such it will need to be oven treated, strip the whole frame, kiss the pain good bye, bake real hot, quench, bake again at lower temperature, new paint job, reassemble.
If its a low copper 7000 series alloy (you won't be able to tell) it would regain about 80% of its original strength at room temperaturw over the next few weeks after welding.
It's not worth it.
