can anyone explain why this monorail design wouldn't work today?
> cheap, uses half the track materials as trains
> is compatible with current train railways
> can take tighter turns than current trains
> can save space in a city
> safe, if power goes out gyroscope can keep speed for 30 minutes, enough time to stop the monorail safely
The only problem POTENTIALLY is the cost of the two powered gyros. which I suspect would be much cheaper with todays manufacturing methods.
