I have 2 other steel MTBs and they both feel like they're ready to shoot forward with the slightest increase of power. Kona rode like a brick, actively slowing me down so I had to put in effort just to maintain speed.
Also didn't like the geometry, it's too long and too low, I felt suspended between the saddle and the bars instead of resting on them, but that's partly on me because I didn't experiment with enough stems and riser bars.
