If I were walking to work 45 min tops.

Leisurely walking, any where between 45min to 6 hours.

What I listen to depends, usually a chill podcast, or just silence if there are no people around.

I like wandering around places, nothing is off limits, unless stated explicitly. But I will and have wandered into building sites, industrial parks, ruined property and so on. It makes the walk that much more interesting.

I have to bike everywhere cause I'm 20 miles from a city center. Although it's one of man's greatest inventions, it just best car. It still proportionately destroys your sense of space. Life is meant to be lived on foot. Anything else is abusive.

I think I overdid biking in the past and the adaptions end up way too specific to unnatural means of mobility.

Anything under half a kilometer always because it's not worth lugging the bike out of the basement for, anything between half a kilometer and one kilometer if I think my bike will be an obstruction to my activities, otherwise always the bike. Walking just feels so slow and inefficient if you're used to biking 90% of your trips.

I'm a 45 minute walk from the train station. I do not walk to the train station. I'll catch one of three busses from the train station - they stop 3, 10 and 15 minutes from my house.
There is a coffee shop 15 minutes away that I walk to sometimes.

I will not walk 30 minutes to the beach but I will drive there and walk one hour up and one hour back.

They are only used for serious cycling.

In a city where lots of interesting destinations exist and it just feels more right it could be substantially longer. Whole afternoon if not day on a weekend Recreation/leisure, and tasks of various types can seamlessly blend together into each other much better in nice cities on such excursions. Walking isn't limited to a purposeful choice but becomes just a natural obvious default to connect one's life together.
