Unfortunately that's the truth. Between the usual shoddy construction that bikes generally have, the need for an energy density that usually requires combustion and the way users often treat them, ebikes are pretty much a form of suicide, or at the very least arson.

Unfortunately most of this board is people pretending to be retarded pedalcucks, so don't expect many decent replies
