no idea why the other posters are saying they require constant maintenance
its a horribly underpowered 50cc 2 stroke engine, i can assure you it lasts forever
and at that theyre absolute fine until teenagers start tuning them and they unsurprisingly blow them up
engine wise they basically need no maintenance
as for everything else, its a one cylinder engine so the thing practically shakes itself apart
constantly tightening nuts is just apart of that
to put it in to perspective, i did a marathon of about 200 miles and at the end the only thing that was broken was the driver
thing ran for a day straight and it didnt budge
