Interior seating is even weirder, it's double decker but it's not a full second floor, so the conductor can check tickets without having to do 2 passes on the train.

Some foamers said it wouldn't work, that for some reason a 6 axle unit was unfit for passenger service. I don't know how they arrived at that conclusion, it never made sense to me, but that's foamers for you

For some reason the AC4400s had bad vibrations and the cabs rattled too much compared to the Dash 9s that preceded them and the ES44s that followed. I would rather have a Mac over an AC4400 but I'd rather have anything besides an Ace.

There really shouldn't be much of a difference at all between an AC44 and Dash 9. Same engines, trucks, mechanical systems, etc. The differences are only in control systems and TMs.

When I'd ask them why, I usually couldn't get a straight answer but they'd complain about having 6 axles instead of 4 so I think it was just their autism flaring up. Nevermind that Metra operated E-units for years.
