Snake overhears conversations among the Vanguard members, who speak in coded language about "cleansing the roads" and "eliminating the undesirables."

The Road King activates The Final Solution and begins a high-speed chase across Hitler's abandoned highways. Snake pursues him in a commandeered vehicle, engaging in a tense battle of wits and firepower. As the chase reaches its climax, Snake manages to disable The Final Solution by targeting its power source. The Road King's supercar crashes, and he emerges from the wreckage, mortally wounded.
