Thoughts on the Dutch using Klinkers instead of asphalt for their streets? The Dutch seem to have an edge on anything transportation-wise compared to the US.

I like pavers, I lay them in our backyard and my motorcycles roll on them pretty well.
They for sure take longer then asphalt to lay but they look cool.
NJB literally says the reason they don't use them everywhere is traffic flow, the more cars the more you need to use asphalt or concrete. Here in the west dry area I am I like asphalt since it doesn't rain much. Concrete is good but when it fails it comes up in big ass chunks.
I would worry about klinkers grip in the rain on my motorcycle or bike, but my guess is it's fine. We for sure have enough clay around me to do this.

Those look comfy. We have some brick roads in America, but even if brick it's generally referred to as "cobblestone". And while they look nice, it generally makes driving annoying and bumpy. Still, I support them for beauty.
