Even Russia of all countries has been safely operating numerous RBMK reactors (the most notoriously dangerous kind of reactor) with no major accidents in the past 37 years (Chernobyl was 38 years ago, and they haven't had a similar problem since then despite keeping those reactors in service.)
Nuclear is so safe even drunk broke Russians operating the worst reactors ever designed struggle to fuck it up. In other words, you need to get a grip.
