I'm looking for a decent bike computer with 15h+ battery life and good navigation.
No need for power meter connectivity, cadence sensor, heart rate monitor or any other trimmings.
Does such product exist? Not very keen on paying €300+ for a bunch of stuff I don't need.

Seriously.
Everything you will find on a bike computer, even the supposed industry leaders like Garmin, will be liquid garbage compared to a free android app.
I think there was some bike computer that ran android, but the battery life was pretty poor so that negates the one advantage it could have over a phone.

This. I use a Garmin 530 for all the other stuff like heartrate, cadence, power and so on but navigation is pretty shitty on most bike computers.
A phone with a small powerbank will most probably be enough for your 15 hours if you put out the screen for some time.

I have a bolt. I know it can do a bunch of stuff but I don't use it for navigation (it just confuses and annoys me). It does a nice job of tracking rides, showing me how fast I'm not going, and giving me climb %s and air temps

I still use my apple watch to track heart rate because the wahoo chest HRM sucks. Also using it as GPS-only without a wheel sensor means your speed readings will have a shitload of latency and get confused when you're going through tunnels and stuff, so I recommend you get some sort of wheel sensor (I've only used the wahoo branded ones but I think any ANT+ sensor should work)

The boot screen where a cartoon stick figure pedals on an indoor trainer rubs me the wrong way because cycling is serious business and I don't play zwift like a middle aged mom, but it's not enough to get me to switch brands

Also so-and-so said they're aero as fuck or were, at the time

Any of the newer stuff by Garmin. Although anything from Wahoo/Garming will do. If you're really concerned about navigation make the route in strava, using google maps, then export that shit to your GPS. If you're doing a ride make sure you use google maps street view to scout various parts of the route I've gotten myself lost and in some really unsafe situations not doing that (winding roads with no shoulder and blind curves, road closures, etc).

Wahoo's pretty solid. You really can't go wrong. I've had my Garmin for quite a few years now and when/if wahoo releases their new smaller form factor GPS (Not the ace) I'll probably switch back just to keep things different. Wahoo also has a thing where you can star strava segments and when you come up to that segment it'll let you know and show either your PB or the KOM (IIRC) so you know how you compare, like a little race. I really liked that.

For brand new, I'd say either the Cora Dura or the Bolt 2. The Dura has the highest reported battery life thanks to the form factor (larger battery, giant ass solar panel instead of expensive and less efficient solar glass). I did not go with the Dura only because of it's reliance on the phone for on the fly routing but otherwise it looks very good. The Bolt is not that much cheaper although it can be had cheaper used, it's simpler and lighter with a well understood ecosystem. On the lower MSRP end the Bryton's seem okay, the nav is very simple on the 400 series but it works. You could also look at the Edge Explore since while it still does bike computer stuff it does use the larger screen to emphasize nav, or potentially even just a handheld GPS unit.

You basically won't find any cycle computer that doesn't do sensor integration. Bluetooth is dirt cheap. You also need to remember that the first purpose of a bike computer is that sensor data, when you step up in price you are buying navigation tools not HR and power meter paring. I am not a huge fan of using the phone but for short rides it's basically a much simpler option that you likely already have, and any budget bike comp is just going to be at best a dedicated GPS tracker feeding into an app on the phone.

I personally would not worry too much about battery life at a certain point unless you are doing multi day journeys without charging. A mini 5000mAh battery bank is more than twice the battery of a Bolt V2, can easily push any GPS with 10+ hours of battery into the 30-40hr range, cheaper, and doubles as phone backup.

Battery dies in less than 20 mins in winter.
In summer you either don't see the screen or it drains the battery in mere 2 hours.
On the other hand even the priciest bike computers have shitty unusable navigation.

I bought the thing.
Only done a short test ride so far but maps and rerouting seems pretty good.
Surprisingly sharp and readable screen despite being tiny.

Maybe it’ll compell me to get all kinds of sensors and turn me into a fully fledged fred idk

Hiking handhelds are also cool if you want to go hiking in remote areas not served by cell service.
