I frequent several well known bike forums, and tandems are always on show, with lots of pictures and tales of adventures they seem to be very popular. However, personally I hate the idea of them, and what's more I have NEVER seen a tandem out in the wild. Despite being a regular rider who is always out on my bike, on many ppular cycling routes in the UK and the EU.
I think retards buy them but never use them.
