i haven’t ever used cycling shorts despite riding my entire life, i took a break for a couple years but now i’ve recently gotten a decent bicycle and ordered a helmet and i feel like i want to try cycling shorts bc i forgot how bruised my perineum can feel after riding

any suggestions for good shorts? my mother who rides a lot says pearl izumi or craft are both good but they’re really expensive. also are some brands better or worse if you have a markedly small penis? i don’t want to have an awkward baggy bunch of fabric there
