My mom was a pretty safe and good driver.... until her 60's.
Now she is kinda eratic, but I find newer cars harder to drive since the inputs are touchy and electronic as well.
My friend is a good driver, but his dad is the stereotypical mad white driver who cuts in front of people, yells, and is just....mad.
People honestly should have periods where they ride bicycles and motorcycles to really understand how it is being in that position, and become better drivers. I know getting my motorcycle and riding it has been a huge thing on me becoming a more alert and better driver.
Probably the same for truck drivers too.
