I think the MTA is half-assing the project, but I'll take what I can get.
>>2039607I don't understand why they're still going with light rail, especially since they announced that they're going to tunnel under the cemetery to avoid street-running in Middle Village. You'd think it would be easier logistically if they could draw from the same pools of train cars that the rest of the subway uses. Buying a new fleet of light rail cars means people have to be trained on how to drive and maintain them, and if some are taken out of service they can't just pull cars from other parts of the system to make up for it like how they put R46s back on the G recently.
