-They'll sue anyone for anything. The most infamous example was the "Cafe Roubaix" incident which you can google
-They have very strict rules about who can sell their stuff, but also what else people who sell their stuff can sell. This is common in retail but for bikes they're particularly aggressive about it and some people resent that and think it's anticompetitive
-More recently, one of their subcontractors in a third world country apparently closed a big factory and stiffed all the employees out of about 2 million in wages. Who really is responsible for those wages is complicated but with all the other bad PR, it was easy to toss this one on the pile as "specialized doesn't pay their employees"
