I helped attend to the scene of accident a year back. Some motorcyclist got sideswiped (I think? I heard it and then came to check it out) and thrown off the road entirely. Seemed like they dislocated their arm, and were dazed and confused enough that they wanted to like... just walk away or something? Me and the other witnesses just kind of tried to fence him in and keep him from wandering off, and from face-planting every time his legs gave out.
The internal bleeding thing reminded me of that, because one of the witnesses tried to give him water and I was like, "no-no-no, don't give anyone water after a car accident. If they are thirsty that's a possible symptom of internal bleeding and the water can make it worse."
