ITT: Post small-city transit systems. I find the idea of a <100,000 populated city having its own streetcar system to be IMMENSELY comfy. Only rules are that it has to either run on rails or off of overhead wire.

Johnstown, Pennsylvania was one of the last small cities to abandon its streetcar network, which survived up until 1960. I believe that the infrastructure was then re-purposed to power electric trolleybuses for another few years.
