>>980226Yes. Again, it's not my opinion, I'm talking about how it's thought about by your average Joe.
Think about what you and your friend's dads drink. Much more likely it's gonna be Schiltz, or Bud, or Miller, some big brewery. A 'working mans' beer.
When people complain about 'nu males' the pussfication of America, hipsters and craft beers are something that's always mentioned.
In my opinion, it's masculine/adult as hell, getting as few a steps of separation between you and your beer as possible. Willing to pay a little more for something you enjoy, rather than settling for something cheaper just because someone says that's the way to go.
>>980227It's more Bud Lite now, but you see my point.
You're not going to see thousands of bros dumping Jawns onto tits in Spring Break footage. You're not going to see Anderson Valley sponsoring a NASCAR racer. Craft beers are not 'big dumb guy' beers.
The closet you'll get to that are 'pseudo crafts' like Blue Moon or Sam Adams.
What I find funny is that, in my experience, craft beers have a lot harsher tastes and are harder to acquire a taste for, while bro beers, which as supposedly so manly, are more or less funky tasting water.
