>>999486Yeah no, sorry bout that. I meant SA/HA not the other way. SA is as you say, pretty meaningless, but a slacker tube can make for a plusher ride in some instances. I'm thinking the HA is 71 at most slack. My XC is a 70 HA and it's noticeably slacker than the Windsor.
As far as shifting, It's a Nexus 3, so any 3speed indexed shifter ought to work, especially any Shimano-compatible barend for a triple.
I have seen pictures of that bike with drop bars on it and the geo doesn't seem to get very fudgy. I may be more likely to go compact drops, or North Roads, anyway. Best estimates put the TT around 56 or 58. That's judging by figures I could find for a rough standover height, doing some estimation, and logical conclusion that an upright bike to fit someone between 5'9" and 6'2" would HAVE to have a 57 TT, average. The dimensions seem to be rather square, and a c-t of 56 for the 56 seems about right, just by looking at it. Either way, long top tube with swept bars, or long top tube with drops kind of cancel eachother out as far as position goes. And I have a pretty long torso so I'm not TOO worried. And I may not swap the bars at all, remember. I just think it's cool to think of it for down the road and all the possibilities.
It's a 1" threaded quill. So it's either 25.4 or 26. 26 may be fudgy, but all the right "styles" of bars are usually pretty readily available in either size.
I don't know man. I just see a LOT of possibilities with that frame. I mean come on, a 'moly complete that can so easily be an all-rounder for 300 smackers? What's not to love?
I lost my train of thought.
Oh but I guess I'm more worried about performance than anything.
