Because literally every organization of physicians in the world, including this one, recognizes that gender affirming care saves lives, these people are just saying people surgery be done on children. In rare exceptions older teens (16-17) get top surgery, but this article is worded in a way that suggests they're taking a stance against five year olds getting a full reassignment, which is not something any doctor agrees with, or that happens in the real world.
