I don't know what happened in the last 20 years that made conservatives think that lowering taxes was this catchall solution to economic issues. I know that in the most basic, 3rd grade intuitive sense, lowering taxes is good cause people have more money. It's a lot more complicated than that and given certain market forces it may not even result in people having more money. If you lower taxes indefinitely in response to something like a housing and inflation crises and that extra money people are saving just get funneled right to rent and food then you haven't solved the problem and you have also created a whole new problem. No. This isn't even touching the completely braindead takes of ending foreign aid, welfare and deporting all illegals. Those are all disasterously stupid.

I think the reason why lowering taxes won't help this issue is because it isn't real. Its fictional. Children in LA and NYC aren't being castrated.
