This feigned outrage from the right-wing over Democratic cities complaining about being overburdened by migrants is analogous to a school group assignment where one of the members of the group doesn't actually contribute anything to the project so another team member reluctantly picks up their slack because they still want a good grade despite the unnecessary burden, but the guy that didn't contribute anything still gets credit on the project. Republican states don't want to deal with the migrants, so the Democrat states decide to take care of the migrants because it's the humane/correct thing to do. But then the Democrat states get overwhelmed and start to run out of resources, so they try to tell Republicans to not overburden them, but then the Republicans use the Democrats complaining as some sort of evidence of hypocrisy. I don't think the Democrat states mind helping the migrants; it's just they're exhausted of resources and the Republican states continue to send more migrants instead of actually attempting to utilize resources to help them within their states.

And they weren't fucking kicked out. The Republican governor fucking moved them to a nearby military base that actually had facilities equipped to house them so they weren't fucking stuck in a fucking church anymore. A fucking ultra wealthy island town with a pop of only 15k did not have the fucking facilities for 50 homeless people that showed up with no fucking notice. And yeah, the governor could have just taken over a mansion, but that would have been fucking insane.

Could the residents have been more welcoming? Sure. Should they have to be? Fucking no. We should have functional social services paid for with tax money and states shouldn't be dumping unwanted masses on each other with literally no fucking notice to be dicks.

I'd assume you don't have a problem with social services or taxes seeing as how you were literally advocating for fucking sticking them in mansions on the government's dime. You just have godawful spending priorities and didn't realize a lot of the blame for the situation lied with the Texas and Florida Republican governors and not the Massachusetts Republican governor.

The problem is the illegals aren't brought in as legal labor, don't see those benefits themselves, and thus become drains on social systems. Illegals only being eligible for healthcare in emergencies is another fucking problem because it means they don't get cheap preventative care and instead end up with costly severe, sometimes chronic illnesses.
