According to new data, first reported by the New Jersey Monitor, 41,300 gun-carry applications were submitted in the state — 26 times more than the 1,588 applications filed in the two years before the Supreme Court decision.
The state attorney general’s office recently launched a database of information about gun-carry applications. According to the database, many applicants are from Ocean, Monmouth and Bergen counties and the majority of applicants are white men.
