Kamala Harris insists voting for herself is a 'top priority'

Kamala Harris has not voted for herself for president yet but said it's a priority for her over the next few days.

The presidential election is 11 days away and early voting has started but the Democratic presidential nominee has been too busy campaigning to cast a ballot for herself.

'It's on my priority list for these next few days,' she told reporters in Texas.

Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff are registered to vote in Los Angeles, where they have a home.

The couple usually votes via absentee ballot. It's unclear how they will vote this year. Harris did not indicate when she would vote and if it would be in person. A photo op is a traditional part of the candidate casting their ballot.

Early voting has begun in California and, thus far, 11% of ballots there have been cast.

Early voting is a big Democratic talking point this election cycle. With polls showing the race between Harris and Donald Trump in a virtual tie, each candidate needs every vote they can get.

A CNN poll released Friday found the two presidential candidates are matched evenly with 47 percent of likely voters' support.

It was CNN's final poll before the November 5 election. And it's the second poll released Friday showing the two are tied.

Trump and Harris each received 48 percent of the popular vote in the final New York Times and Siena College poll, which was released Friday.

It's unclear if Trump has voted. He and wife Melania are registered to vote in Palm Beach, Fla.

Many Democrats are posting about voting early.

Barack and Michelle Obama voted early by mail. Each of them posted a video to their social media accounts reminding voters to cast their ballots.
