>>1396780It's ultra rare for any drug trafficker to get the federal death penalty, and even the last time it happened (back in 2001) the executed individual had also murdered a woman, in fact almost nobody has ever been executed simply for trafficking.
Might be a good time to start though. Maybe while they're at it, they could fix the laws so that more penalties are available for those who enter the nation unlawfully and commit violent crimes while here. I feel like sending people into a dark, dank hole for a decade or so before sending them back might be a bit more effective than shipping them over so they can come back in a few weeks.
