JANESVILLE -- A registered sex offender living in Janesville has been arrested and is facing new child pornography charges.
According to a release, the Janesville Police Department received information in April that a 36-year-old convicted sex offender was communicating with a child in Ohio.

Over the next 4 months, detectives from the Janesville and Delavan police departments served search warrants on electronics and interviewed the suspect. Child pornography was located on the suspect’s cellular phone.

Tyler Minarick
On Tuesday, Sept. 2, around 3:30 p.m., the suspect, Tyler Minarick, was arrested in the 3600 block of Milton Avenue. He was held at the Rock County Jail pending an initial court appearance.
Minarick faces multiple charges that include: 5 counts of possession of child pornography, 2 counts of causing a child to view or listen to sexual activity, 2 counts of exposing genitals to a child, 1 count of sexual exploitation of a child, and 2 counts of photographing a minor as a registered sex offender.
