Charlie Kirk: Turning Point USA Flooded With Requests to Start New Chapters
Turning Point USA, the conservative youth organization founded by Charlie Kirk, has been flooded with requests to start new chapters following his assassination, according to a spokesperson.
The organization has "received over 32,000 inquiries in the last 48-hours to start new campus chapters," Turning Point spokesperson Andrew Kolvet, who is also executive producer of "The Charlie Kirk Show," said in a post on X on Sunday.
"To put that in perspective, TPUSA currently has 900 official college chapters and around 1,200 high school chapters, with a presence of 3,500 total."
Newsweek has contacted Turning Point USA and Kolvet for further comment via emails sent outside regular business hours.
In her first remarks since her husband was killed, Kirk's widow, Erika Kirk, vowed to continue his work with Turning Point USA. She also said his campus tour and his radio and podcast show would continue.
She urged young people to join their local Turning Point USA chapter.
"To all of the young people who felt inspired by my husband's faith in hard work, all of you already know what Charlie would want you to do," she said in remarks that were streamed live on Kirk and Turning Point USA's social media accounts.
"If you're in high school or if you're in college, go find your local Turning Point USA chapter. Join it. Stay involved. He wants you to make a difference. And you can. You can. The movement's not going anywhere. And it will only grow stronger when you join it."
