https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-unveil-12-billion-aid-farmers-hit-by-trade-war-white-house-official-says-2025-12-08/ WASHINGTON, Dec 8 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump was set to unveil a $12 billion aid package for American farmers affected by his trade policies, a White House official said on Monday.
The announcement was due to be made at a 2 p.m. (1900 GMT) roundtable at the White House, the official said.
U.S. farmers have been saddled this year with record harvests and lost billions of dollars in soybean sales to China when the nation turned to South American suppliers this fall during stalled trade talks.
The administration had been expected to announce a farm bailout totaling as much as $15 billion in October. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins previously said the 43-day federal government shutdown delayed the rollout.
Bloomberg News, which first reported the amount of the aid package, said growers of cattle and crops from grains to soybeans, cotton and potatoes will attend the White House event.

Whenever anyone talks about helping "farmers" in situations like these they're not talking about the people who actually grow crops or raise animals, they're talking about the billionaires like Bill Gates or Saudi royals who own thousands of acres of farmland that they've never even laid eyes on.

This is the equivalent of Trump burning down your house, and then a few months later he brings you a shipping container to live in expecting a thank you for his generosity.

>>1463468 In 5 years these tariffs and canceled trade deals will pay off and farms will be the biggest industry on the planet probably bringing in TRILLIONS and TRILLIONS of dollars into America. Also grocery prices will get lower and lower some say probably lower than we’ve ever seen, I’m not saying it but some are. Unless you believe the fake news and those filthy democrats get in power (fraudulently may I add!) and crash this economy
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

>>1463533 There is not a single economist or statistician that can show these numbers. In fact all signs point to the exact opposite. Recession incoming because of the massive transfer of wealth from the poor and middle class to the rich. Paying farmers while decimating their industry will only increase our costs while enriching the corporations who import all the products we can’t grow in the USA.
Donald trump is a stupid narcissist greed bag who would step on your face if you were dying in the street and in his way. He has no intention of helping anyone other then his rich corporate supporters cutting him deals.

Also Democrats wouldn't be justifying cutting social programs with "we need to spend less" then turn around and pull this shit. Kick in the fucking face to all the people being screwed over for the sake of "saving the government money" when that money immediately goes to Trump's pet projects.

My own family owns small amounts of lands, broken and divided across a few acres. In 3 locations we have a small area for crops that we grow and sell directly to the company. We don't have to harvest it by hand, but everything else IS by hand.
This year it is not worth it, for the first time in years
