Trump spent the entire campaign calling her "crooked Hillary" and drew large crowds chanting "lock her up". There was a large push among his movement to seriously put her in jail. His statement during the debates was more than a zinger, it was the explicit endorsement of that entire movement. The fact that he doesn't do anything effective towards this goal and that his supporters don't even talk about it anymore means that at best, the "law and order" crowd, along with their candidate, don't really care about justice beyond larping for power. Therefore they cannot be trusted when they talk about justice (which was my original point). I don't think this, I know this.
