Some of the protestors got pissed while the militia was guarding a gas station, and chased one guy, the soon-to-be shooter.
One of them, a guy in a red shirt, turned his shirt into a mask, threw a bottle at the guy as he was running away, then ran up behind him.
Another guy in a black shirt is also chasing and may have shot at the shooter, shots can be heard but no gun is visible.
The shooter turns, sees red-shirt man about to tackle him from behind and shoots him in the head.
Then the shooter calls the cops to report it while black shirt guy and some other protestors try to help the dying red shirt man.
The protestors shout "get him" and come at the shooter, who runs down the street toward the police vehicles a ways off.
He trips and a bunch of protestors try to get him while he's on the ground.
The shooter shoots at one of the people on him and most scatter.
One guy puts his hands up, but then pulls a handgun and charges at the shooter, who reacts by shooting the pistol guy in the arm. Pistol guy runs off to get medical help.
The shooter then goes to the police, who ignore him while driving down the road.
The shooter was 17 (and so was illegally carrying a gun), and lived 35 minutes from Kenosha, just over the state border. He was charged with 1st degree murder and some people are saying he fled arrest, but it seems like he just went home after the cops ignored him. All in all it seems like self-defense and there's no way that a 1st degree charge can stick since it wasn't premeditated. The gun possession is a misdemeanor.
