Yes, he has literally been proven to use malicious editing in cases like his hit job on ACORN (which he had to pay $100,000 for despite ACORN being forced to shutter) and in the numerous suits brought against him for libel.

His methods as a """journalist""" are vulgar and evoke not so much bad faith but outright malice. He employs entrapment as his main method of investigation (such as in his embarrassing failure to sting the Washington Post), and when that fails he will use selective editing to remove the original context and create his own. He doesn't look for a story, he creates one and then bends the truth to fit his narrative.

To call him a yellow journalist is to insult the field of journalism.

Even if it were true, even if it were 180000 fraudulent ballots, that still pales in comparison to the number of Americans dienfrachized by our shitty system of electing a POTUS and congressmembers, and the Republican party's efforts to break democracy even more. They don't even pretend to hide it now, Republicans think representative elections are a threat to capitalism and thus too dangerous to tolerate. Any tool that otherwise sounds reasonable, like national voter ID, automatically gets weaponized to disenfranchize even more Americans, to disadvantage the opposition even further.

If we truly had an orderly, organized system meant to maximize voter participation and value all votes equally like in Finland, Germany, Canada, we would easily have millions more votes cast by Americans with interest in public policy but otherwise disenfranchised under the current system.
