So once I saw these two in bed I went for a walk and just kept walking. Forrest Gump style, y'know? I was intoxicated at the time and was locked out of my house so I came across some trails I remembered seeing people on.
I found this tight little spot that I could sit and ended up crashing there in the woods. When I woke up I was still pissed, upset, and confused. Most of all I was hungry. It just so happened that there were berries nearby and I figure by now some are thinking this is all fairytale BS but I started having these childlike emotions of "I bet no one would miss me if I just stayed out here til I died."
and I kinda went with it.
Grabbed my roommate and some junk tier equipment and went 'camping'. So to take my mind off the crap I just focused on using less equipment from home and more available material from nature.
I was bad at it and decided to do some research. I'm not trying to say I'm smart or anything but I've got a knack for reading and common sense/resourcefulness in spades. So I sat down with some books and soaked up all I could from it. I then took that knowledge out innawoods and put it to the test.
Some things worked for me others not so much, the great thing about the hobby is there's a lot of room for preference and error, you never stop learning.
